Lamali is one of Kabambi's key suppliers, since 2016! The Lamali collections are handmade in Nepal, from natural and/or recycled materials.
A company committed
Lamali was founded in France in 1993 and has been involved with the Nepalese population ever since. Lamali works with local craftsmen and disseminates their traditional know-how, but it is also committed to its staff by encouraging them to send their children to school, thanks in particular to an allowance. Lamali has also set up a pension system for its workers and they benefit from medical monitoring.
Kabambî is sensitive to Lamali's commitment and we particularly like handmade paper notebooks. Here is a photo taken in September at the Maison & Objet show, where we have the pleasure of meeting Dana, our privileged interlocutor, every year!

From notebooks that invite you to travel
Lamali offers several collections of notebooks, some of which are made from traditional paper. This paper is made from the bark of a shrub called Lokta, or Daphne cannabina. It is a technique that requires hours of work to produce sheets of paper that can then be dyed. This ancient paper was once used by Buddhist monks for their writings and has been used for centuries to fill the beautiful Lamali notebooks.
